Rudy's 'Country Store' and Bar-B-Q - Conroe: Experience Authentic Barbecue Bliss

Kinsley(?) was an absolutely stellar employee. Another girl was amazing too. I took a fall getting out of my car and Kinsley was right there, she put a bandaid on my elbow. Thank you again Kinsley and the other girl for constantly checking up on me. Food was good, too.

Tried the baked potato today with brisket and turkey. It did not disappoint! I still have 1/2 left for another meal. The staff is always fast, kind and professional. I haven't tried my banana pudding yet but it looked delicious. I also love their cream corn. I appreciate that they offer a military discount all year!

This visit was far better than the last time we stopped at this location. During this trip, the service was great, the food tasted fresh, and the restaurant was clean. You really can't ask for more. It always helps when you remember to bring back your Rudy's cup and save a little change on the drink costs.

Amazing!!!!! This was my first trip to Rudy's to actually order a meal and eat. I absolutely loved my Brisket Sandwich and the potato salad was to die for!!!! I will have to come back and try the baked potato with meat because that looked Massive!!!! Very clean, loads of room and space to eat. I highly recommend if you love Bar-B-Que to give them a try.

lways hits the spot. The menu is packed, especially with their smoked meats, and the sides are seriously delicious. It’s a great place to grab a bite, whether you’re flying solo or with the whole family. Definitely one of those spots you’ve gotta try — it’s become a Texas staple.

Rudy’s saved the day!!! Our corp office ordered $200 worth of Rudy’s food to be delivered through DoorDash We checked with Rudy’s the day before- they had the order and was all set. When the delivery time came and passed we checked with Rudy’s and yes DoorDash picked up the order. After waiting extra time in case Doordash was lost we called back. Doordash had not delivered, come back to Rudy’s or even let them know any status update. So we contacted DoorDash Their first response was that the order showed delivery completed. We explain NO it was not delivered so they contacted the driver whose story was there must have been a glitch in their system of a duplicate address because it showed our location not 15 mins from Rudy’s but 21 miles away out of their delivery area. ( hmm 3 of the attendees also Googled how to gwt to the location with no problem). But the big question- so where is the $200 worth of food???? All DoorDash could do was process a refund. BUT RUDY’S SAVED THE DAY!!!! They QUICKLY reprocessed our order AND delivered it within 30 mins!!! Saving our business lunch meeting with our client!!!! WAY TO GO RUDY’S!!!!YOUR STAFF WAS AWESOME. SO COURTEOUS POLITE AND QUICK TO CORRECT A BAD DELIVERY THAT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT!!!!! We will never use DoorDash again as their driver stole $200 worth of food BUT WE WILL SUPPORT OUR LAKE CONROE RUDY’S 100%!!!!

If you haven’t been here….get in here! The bbq is excellent and always tasty. I usually get the smoked turkey sandwich and it never disappoints! Plenty of free parking, lots of seats and there is usually some type of sports on the tv! Keep up the great work Rudy’s!!
